Dominican Republic 2023

Day 1:

So much Jesus… so many hugs some old and some new. So many friends some old and some new. So intentional about our walk and purpose of why we are here. It was a grand day. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow holds. Y’all keep praying. Love y’all!
We have 3 nurses on this trip and God is using them! Sharing Jesus and taking care of people. My heart is full

Day 2

Worship was soooo God. We will all worship in one language as one nation when we are with the Lord.

Day 3

One church  one God. One worship.

Love God. Love People. Make disciples. Enough said. Thank you Lord!

Beautiful terrain carved and created by an awesome God! Yes that is ocean in the background from the top of the mountain we climbed.

We had worship in Haitian Creole and in English this morning! My heart is still sooo full.

We hiked a mountain in the afternoon today. We visited this land once before and God is already working in it and on it. Heart rates were up but they were full!

Galatians 3:28-29

“I pray that you walk in the works that God has for you” amen! Are you a hearer only of the word or are you a doer of the word? Are you bearing good fruit. Who have you shared the light of Jesus with today?

Serving is what we do. The men cooked us breakfast before church on Sunday

Bibles, bubbles and crafts were all used starting day 2. We are grateful. Kids are learning about Jesus. Adults are learning about him. Have you shared him today?

Day 4

Actually second day of clinic. What a day! We got to treat and minister the gospel.

It’s nice to be in an environment where prayer is accepted. Lots of prayer today.

Prayer walking in the community. We learned that our new friends were happy to see us. We were able to share the gospel. We blessed the community with food bags, feminine bags and baby bags full of useful items.  We prayed. We laughed, we cried.

Most importantly we asked if they held Jesus in their heart. We were able to take another step in our faith and minister. We were invited into homes today and sooo full. Can’t wait for tomorrow.

When we returned from the field today I could not type. My fingers and joints were so swollen. They ache from holding forceps most of the day. Nice ice baths for my hands and rest should do the trick.

DAY 5

Please say a prayer for the people we served today and will serve to tomorrow. It will be like a carnival. We build the clinic and then break it down. We get one opportunity to plant seed. Some accept; others do not

Well I have a migraine this morning. Lord help! I took meds and we prayed  about it prior to the journey. Just like life every day is not easy on the mission field.

This morning I asked for prayer for my hands and joints. They were aching since yesterday! I learned quickly this morning thru scripture that I needed to not focus on myself and focus on God. Philippians 2:1-13 DONE AND DONE

GOD delivered today! Yes I’m sore but I’m hurting less now that I was this morning. Thank you Jesus!

And look at my hands!!!

DAY 6

Coconut water anyone? The best! Tastes nothing like the bottled coconut water we purchase. Yum!

Jesus Christ tells us that he is the living water and that if we drink from his fountain we would never thirst again!

Today was full of gospel sharing and offering salvation. Everyone agreed to allow me to share. Those who already know Him I asked to share their testimony. Once I shared if they stated they didn’t believe. I asked a follow up question. Are you willing to share why not? Some people believe you have to dress a certain way, or work a certain job or “be ready” for God. God accepts us where we are if we are willing to accept him. HE is a loving God. I’m thankful! Have you shared today?
